Fruitful Sustainable Container HouseLocation: London, UK
Scope services: Architectural Design

We were given the duty of designing a sustainable container house for two different projects. The first project involved a two-story container home and the other one was a three-story container home. The client wanted the project to be easily affordable so that the future tenants would be able to save money and energy.
The things we had to consider was their budget, climate and the water use. Our team also paid attention to the relationship between the solar performance and their orientation angle, storage of solar energy in the utility room and lastly, heat regulation. We used modulated customized containers for the homes which ensured more limitation to the model. Finally, we were able to present the result which included the home with two, four, and five bedrooms. The nature in the exterior design inspired us to use the cedar cladding for the rain cladding. The result was a sustainable container house in an environmentally friendly and economic home.
