Warm and cozy, the Hungry Turtle restaurant exudes a welcoming, homely feel. With a distinct vintage, industrial vibe, this family restaurant aims to express itself through the use of exposed natural materials for walls, surfaces and flooring. Exposed brick is painted and used as wall cladding, adding a vintage charm to the interiors. Wood is used as the framework for the bench-style seating, while a heavily textured wood for the counter adds style and individualism to the design. Monochromatic, grey concrete flooring emphasizes the honesty and simplicity of the material palette. Large, floor-to-ceiling windows let in natural light, which brightens up the interior. This is augmented by industrial-style, directional track lighting that runs the perimeter of the ceiling. A sublime pale-yellow wall paint compliments the natural materials and provides a subtle backdrop for the functional furniture. Careful attention to materials, furniture, and lighting add charm to this rustic, industrial style eating establishment.
